Best Buy Managing Quality

Best Buy and Quality of Design:

Best Buy uses this dimension of quality in their products and services every day. For one, Best Buy sells all top quality and design products in its stores. The quality of design aspect of a product really depends on the manufacturer that produces that product which is then sold at Best Buy stores. Best Buy gets to choose which products they will sell at their stores and they choose which designs better fits their customer needs. For example, the newest designs in laptops and other electronics can always be found at your local Best Buy location.

Best Buy and Quality of Conformance:

Since Best Buy gets their products from different manufacturers to be sold at their stores, quality of conformance really falls down to the manufacturers and their productions. Once the manufacturers choose their products designs they then have to evaluate if the product meets the specifications of their design. Best Buy inspects all of the products they sell which is to an advantage to their customers. Customers are more likely to be satisfied with a product if a product does exactly what it is said to do without any complications. This is why it is so important that Best Buy inspects the products before selling it to customers.

Best Buy and the "Abilities":

Best Buy has a very strong advantage over other retailers in this dimension of Quality. For one, in terms of availability they always have continuous service to customers even after they buy. Best Buy offers different forms of customer service to their customers that are easily accessible to fit their needs. They conveniently offer customers customer service through their multiple store locations, via the internet and over the phone. In terms of reliablity since the products sold at their stores are thoroughly inspected before a sale is made, the products are likely to be very reliable as well as its lifespan.

Best Buy and Field Service:

Bets Buy offers many types of field services for their products in order to keep their customers satisfied before and after a purchase. For the convenience of the customer, Best Buy offers warranty on all of their products which include repair or replacement of any faulty products. The process of having any repairs or replacements, are also convenient for the customers through Best Buy's multiple options of contacting one of its representatives. Customers can take their products to their local location or call in for a repair or even speak to a customer service representative for options on replacing their product.

Best Buy currently uses high service quality which helps them stand out against their competitors. They research what is the top product of the moment and make sure that it is available to their customers. By acknowledging consumer needs, Best Buy can then make sure that they meet those needs through their high quality service. I would recommend for Best Buy to emphasize Deming's 14 Management Principles more in-depth. I think that for any company to be successful it all starts at the roots, which is management. If management has associates more educated and involved in all aspects of the company the more it will be of an advantage to the customers.
