Best Buy Service Process Design

The Service-Product Bundles has three parts. 1-Tangible service (explicit service)—what the seller does for you. Best Buy offers knowledgeable salesmen to assist customers with what they are looking for. For example, when a customer buys a computer, or purchases a service. A geek quad agent will come out to the customer’s house to setup a wireless network, or setup a home theatre system. 2-Psychological benefits (implicit service)—how you feel about it. Best Buy will try to make this as smooth as possible so the customer walks out with a good experience. 3-Physical goods (facilitating goods)—what you can carry away. Best Buy sells a variety of electronics that the customer can chose from and take home with them such as televisions, computers, appliances, mp3 players, movies, and so much more.
Best Buy operates on the co-routed service matrix. This gives the customer a moderate number of choices, using a moderately standardized service system. When you shop at Best Buy we can order different colored computers for you. Best Buy offers television services such as “in home setup,” mounting, and even calibration. The geek squad can fix your broken household appliances and even install custom parts you want to add to your computer.
Best Buy has high customer contact. They use self service, focused operations, and technology because of the automated online Best Buy website. The employees are there to answer the customers’ questions and give them the complete solution. Best buy offers good service recovery. If you buy services for a computer such as having antivirus and spyware protection installed and decide you did not like the computer and want to exchange it. Best buy will offer to install the same service on what ever new computer you choose to purchase. If a customer comes in and wants to transfer the data from an old computer to the new computer, Best Buy will accommodate that and if Best Buy is unable to transfer the data, they will refund you the full purchase price.
